Things I've learned in my 7th Grade Year

In school, little things take on such large significance. Wear the wrong shirt and you're labeled a loser for life. Plant a wet one on your boyfriend, and once you break up, everybody whispers you're the worst kisser ever. But, as cliched as it is, life goes on. School taught me that if you move past your most embarrassing moments, everyone else eventually will, too.

The most important that i have learned in my 7th grade is to be responsible to your very important thing. why?, because when our room has been ransacked my classmates and I have robbed our room and taken our valuable things. When that day happened we learned the lesson that needed carefulness.

“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

Reflection of "The Happiest Boy in the World"

The story of Jose is somewhat common to some of us if we are pertaining to true-to-life story. Nowadays, we could see people, especially youths, who are really determined to pursue their dreams that they are willing to work, even go through lot of hardships to obtain higher education.

The story is quite inspiring for it encourages unfortunate people to believe in their dreams despite of being deprived in money. This is also teaches people to keep in their mind that the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams and take those hardships as an inspiration to be successful. I admire Julio because he made a way for his son, Jose, to study and by that, Jose became strong-minded to study more to help his family.

Psalm 115:13-14. He will bless those who fear the Lord, both the small and the great. May the Lord give you increase, you and your children! Not only does the Bible have a lot to say about family, but it is in our Christian duties to attend church together or at least practice prayer and study the Bible.

                                                         Reflection on "The Sacrifice"

For me, the story "The Sacrifice" is a very wonderful and inspirational story, because by the title itself, it tells you all about the sacrifice of your parents, love ones and it also tells you about how parents will sacrifice everything just for you to have a good future, my parents also sacrifice a lot of things like just to earn money they would sacrifice all their time working for us and also they would sacrifice their own space just or us to be comfortable.

We should love our parents by their sacrifice to us, so that we can go to school everyday. And we need to sacrifice also for our love ones and to other people or person we loved.

Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them." Ephesians 4:2

Reflection on "The World is an Apple"

“Why? Did God create apple trees to bear fruit for the rich alone? Didn’t He create the whole world for everyone?”

I found it a little bit easy when I received such kind of task, due to the fact that it depicts poverty that is prevalently common, not only on our country, but around the world. I checked the compatibility of this line, in which it contains moral values about life in reality. I also spot these lines easily considering its striking message, which is the affordability to buy things. Then, it also depicts the gap between rich and poor, in which it was far than common.

I like it, at the same time I chose this line because it gives a striking message about the importance of affordability of food, in which life in simplicity is much better to Gloria than what Mario wants. It uses descriptive form of language in which it was easier for everybody to understand at the same time, it speaks directly to Mario, in which Gloria says that they can live without apple. It depicts the scenario that Mario allegedly stole an apple in a store, in which he claims it will give to their daughter Tita. It was in this line that Gloria said to Mario that they can live more with foods other than the apple. They are not rich and they cannot afford an apple that costs almost 70 centavos.

It sends a highly significant message to me. I learned the overall simplicity of life without having to buy something expensive in order to satisfy ourselves. It really helps me how to spend less in order to satisfy myself. Like for example, in order for us to save some money, we rather tend to buy lesser expensive goods so that the excess of it can be used in the future. In this case, we can still eat more, more, and more without additional expenses and additional headaches.

                                                                    Own Topic

The games I like most is Basketball. All it takes with a willing team, five members. We need a ring and court to play. After all we simply shoot the ball to the ring. My friends and I spend hours doing this just about everyday. We are not going to be world champions. It is simply great fun.

We used to do this with one old ball. Since then my Father had bought a real ball, although cheap, ball. I must say we enjoy the game even more. Even my Tito  comes to join in the fun when she has the time for it.

The other game I like to play is table tennis. We have an old table, two bats and some balls. So on some days we play table tennis instead. This is a game that requires more skill. We cannot even hit the ball onto the table half of the time. This can be frustrating. So we go back to badminton which is far easier and more fun.

Since we play outdoors we are at the mercy of the weather. We often have to pause when the wind is too strong. It is difficult to hit the shuttlecock properly when the wind blows it away. Sometimes it rains, making it impossible to play.

I do play other games in school like badminton and football. Somehow they do not seem to be much fun. So I stick to badminton and table tennis.
